Healing Stress & Trauma with Yoga
with Miki Hara, LCSWR, RYT
Saturday, October 13th, 2018
Our minds and bodies are constantly moving in different directions, therefore we become disconnected, distracted, anxious and stressed. Clinical researches have found that yoga practice cultivates calmness and promotes emotional and mental stability and clarity. We begin to slow down and breath, opening to the moment and coming back to our true self. This gentle practice is also a wonderful, nurturing way to release trauma and stuck energy in the body.
In this workshop, participants will learn:
Simple movements on the chair to help bring more awareness to our bodies.
Breathing techniques that help with anxiety and insomnia.
Tools that you can use to help slow down our minds.
Ways to be kind and reconnect with our bodies.
